The Oklahoma City Zoo Amphitheater is one of the prime centers of live music and theater in the city. It is situated in the OKC Zoo campus in the heart of the popular Adventure District, OKC.

Visiting the OKC Zoo is entertaining and the events at the Zoo Amphitheater in Oklahoma City are all well received. But the decision to create the amphitheatre was out of a more urgent cause - helping restart economic recovery in the depression period, 1935-1936. It was the first major building in the city constructed by the civilian conservation corps. The material for construction was Native Sandstone.

Some of the events lined up at the OKC Zoo Amphitheatre for the coming months in 2010 include Bob Dylan with special guest Shooter Jennings on August 6th, the Rockstar Mayhem Festival featuring Rob Zombie, Korn, Lamb of God, Five Finger Death Punch, Norma Jean, Shadows Fall, Chimaira, etc. on August 14th, the Carnival Madness featuring Shinedown Chevelle, Puddle of Mud, Sevendust and 10 Years on August 20, the BB King Blues Festival featuring BB King, Al Green and Buddy Guy on August 27, Zac Brown Band on September 16, and Sugarland on October 7.
